How licensing works

Every active user at Linc consumes a license. An active user is any Student or Tutor who has access to all the features that Linc offers, is visible at the control panel, and has requested at least one session within the current school year.
Linc administrators from each educational institution can check the number of registered users at any time within the control panel. Similarly, they can remove users at any time so that they stop consuming active licenses.

How does monthly on-demand billing work?

User licenses are charged on the same date each month. Linc makes a monthly cut-off to calculate the number of active licenses to be paid.

What happens to my billing when I remove a user?

When deleting a user from our system, the decrease in the number of active licenses will take effect in your billing at the beginning of your next billing cycle.

What happens to my billing when I add a user?

The increase in the number of active users (active licenses) will take effect in your billing at the beginning of your next billing cycle.

Types of user licenses

The type of license assigned to users is based on the Linc plan selected by the educational institution. For more information click here.
